Fall into autumn weather with Hispanic Heritage Month! Through October 15th, we’ll take time to honor the sacrifices of Hispanic-Americans throughout our nation’s history, and their invaluable influence on our culture. This observance period for the Latinx community started in 1968 to honor the independence anniversaries of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Chile, and Mexico. One of the best ways to celebrate, whether you are a part of the Latinx community or not, is to cook their delicious dishes. Below are a couple of recipes that use your WIC benefits, and have some fun steps that your kids can help out with too!
